The email signature is a great way to promote your brand and engage with your audience! So if you are not already using the email signature as an integral part of your branding efforts, it is a great time to start. In a series of five blog posts, we will explain all about engaging content for email signatures and show you examples of what works. So stay tuned!
Email is still the preferred way to communicate with external audiences for most businesses. Your company probably sends out hundreds, if not thousands or more, emails every single day. You really have a great opportunity to get more out of this 1:1 communication channel. The email signature is your key. Don’t think of the email signature as just a professional sign-off. Take it to a new level and use it to engage with your audience. Encourage them to interact with your brand. Tell them what your business does. And show them why they should care.
We have selected five areas that are especially interesting when it comes to effective, cool and engaging content in email signatures.
In the first post, we will look at how to integrate survey feedback into your email signature. Survey feedback can be a quick one-tab rating of an employee, customer support service, a quick opinion on a topic, etc. With Xink’s integrations to third-party online survey services, it is very easy to include, change and manage survey feedback in email signatures.
Next, we will take a look at product review links in signatures. Online product reviews, or peer-to-peer reviews, are an essential part of the way people search for information today. Therefore it is a priority for most companies to get customers to review their products or services. Many companies have identified review platforms where they would like to collect reviews from, such as Amazon, Trustpilot, GetApp, G2, and others. So include a link in your email signature to a review platform of your choice. This makes it easy for contacts to write a review and you also help show them where to do it.
Take a look at this list of popular product review platforms – maybe you can find some review platform inspiration for your company.
Oh, and Xink of course also works with review platforms, so feel free to write a review about our platform. We really appreciate it!
The third post in this series will look at Headshots in email signatures. There are various opinions on whether headshots in email signatures are a good idea. We think it can be a good idea to use headshots in email signatures, especially for employees in customer-facing positions such as sales, support, real estate, law firms, etc.
We will show some examples of how face shots can be created in a nice and appealing way that will help improve confidence and trust with the email audience.
In the fourth post, we will look at timed marketing content in signatures. Now, this is a great feature when you plan your marketing year. You can schedule marketing banners for selected employees well in advance (a year, several months, three weeks, four days…) of an event, a product launch, a branding campaign, etc.
Simply set the time you want the marketing content to be pushed to signatures. Then you are sure that all employee signatures are aligned with your overall strategy and an extra channel for engagement is in place. Remember to include clear, stand-out CTA buttons in your marketing content to drive traffic to the event page, promotional landing page, etc.
And finally, in the fifth post in this series, we look at how to use the email signature as a way to increase followers in email signatures. It is important to include social links to your company’s preferred social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others. But you can also create engaging campaigns in the signature to get more followers and promote your social platforms.
Stay tuned for the coming series of posts with visual examples to inspire you to create some engaging content for email signatures in your company.
